Background
Heating foil projects were planned with paper drawings, Paint, Excel and manual calculations. That is time-consuming and error-prone, and the documentation ended up scattered and unstructured.
Elektra Norge and Profag Norge wanted one unified tool for the whole process, from room drawing and material calculation to ordering and installation, initially for Elektra Norge and Onninen.
The solution
We developed a system where the user draws rooms and zones, and the drawing is automatically turned into a complete calculation basis according to Profag Norge's own rules.
- From drawing to calculation. Correct foil widths, optimised material use and accessories are calculated automatically from the room drawing.
- Bills of materials and documentation. Product lists, installation reports and documentation for wholesaler, fitter and end customer, straight from the project.
- Role-based for the whole chain. Installers, shop staff at wholesalers, regional managers, project managers and administrators each have their own permissions and interfaces.
- Designed to grow. Developed as a general solution that can be configured for more wholesalers and new product categories, such as heating cables and thermostats, without rebuilding the core architecture.

Installers and wholesalers get the whole workflow in one place: draw, calculate, order and document in one system, faster and more precisely than the manual methods it replaces.
