The vast majority of people suffering serious injuries need help before emergency services arrive. Ordinary people who are willing to act are the most important resource. Yet young people have few good training options tailored to their own everyday lives and learning styles.
For Oslo University Hospital, STUDIO X developed a modern first aid app aimed at young people in the Barents region, a collaboration spanning Northern Norway, Sweden, Finland and north-western Russia. The app meets young people on their own terms, making life-saving knowledge engaging, accessible and easy to remember.
The app teaches first aid through realistic scenarios that young people recognise from their own lives. Users face situations involving injured people and must make the right choices step by step.

The app is available on the App Store and Google Play, giving young people in the Barents region a tool for learning first aid in a safe and engaging way. The solution is built to grow, with room for new content and more scenarios over time.
