Background
At a busy industrial base, orders for cranes, wheel loaders, transport and crew come in continuously, and were previously handled by phone and email. That gave little overview and a lot of manual coordination.
Wergeland Group wanted one system where customers enter their needs themselves, and the base plans people and machinery from a single order list.
The solution
We developed an order system designed around the flow at the base: the customer describes the need, and shift leaders staff and equip the job from the same screen.
- Digital ordering. Needs, PO number, comments, arrival time and photo attachments straight from the customer.
- Staffing and machinery. Shift leaders assign operators and select machines from the base's own register, per job.
- Unified order list. A searchable overview of all jobs, with full history.
- Customer and staff overview. Roles for admin, shift leader and operator, and a customer list linked to other systems.
The result
Orders that used to live in phones and inboxes are gathered in one system, and the solution has been developed further on an ongoing basis since delivery.
