What is gamification?

Gamification is using mechanics from games, such as points, levels, progress, streaks, badges and rewards, in apps and systems that are not games. The aim is to make them more engaging to use, and to motivate the desired behaviour.

Who is gamification for?

Doesn't it just become a gimmick?
