Background
Meeting rooms and workspaces in an active innovation hub are booked all day, by many different users. Standard tools did not give the flow and overview the hub needed.
Smart Innovation Norway wanted its own booking system tailored to the premises and daily life at Spin in Sarpsborg, simple enough for everyone to use without training.
The solution
We developed a mobile-first PWA where users book meeting rooms and workspaces in seconds, with login via magic link and real-time updates across all screens.
- Three roles. User, administrator and system administrator, with role-based access control all the way down to the data layer.
- Admin panel. Management of rooms, workspaces, bookings and users, with a dedicated system log.
- Real time. Bookings are synchronised instantly, so double bookings are avoided.
- Simple login. A magic link by email, no password to remember.
The result
The Spin community books rooms and workspaces in one tool made for their premises. The collaboration with Smart Innovation Norway goes both ways: STUDIO X and SIN also work together on the startup community in the region.
